How to Draw Ken
1
Okay, are you ready to draw Ken from Toy Story 3? Then let's get started. First, draw a circle for the head, and then add the facial guidelines. Next, draw framing to create some body lines so you can continue to work on drawing Ken.
3
Next, draw out his plastic head or hair style, and then finish drawing out his eyes, nose, and mouth. Once that is done you have to add the detailing to his head, and then start sketching out his shirt collar.
4
Now you can start sketching out the shoulders, sleeves, and the opening of his button down short sleeve shirt. Cuff up the sleeves like so, and then begin drawing in his scarf around the neck.
5
Okay, you will now begin drawing out Ken's arms, and then draw his stiff looking hands which are placed on the opening of his pockets. You will then finish drawing out his shirt, and then draw his belt, and the top of his shorts.

You are ready to finish off this Toy Story 3 character by sketching out Ken's legs, and then his loafers for shoes. You will then draw the shorts, and then be sure to cuff them up at the ends like you see here. Next, you can start erasing the lines a

Description: I'm sure most of you know that the third addition to Toy Story is already at the theaters, and has been there since the eighteenth of this month. What I don't have for a character from the movie is a doll figure that is mainly bought by young girls. So, this next tutorial is going to be on "how to draw Ken", step by step. Ken has been a “boyfriend” figure for Barbie since 1961, and he still remains one of Barbie's best beaus to date. Of course nowadays there are different versions of Ken. Some Ken dolls have brown hair instead of blond, and some are more scrawny then beefy. Nevertheless, Barbie seems to love Ken no matter how he looks, or what kind of tacky style clothes he wears. What remains strange to me is the fact that Ken has a head full of plastic hair, while Barbie has a full head of flourishing locks that are to die for. One of the main reasons why I wanted to make a Ken tutorial, is because Michael Keaton is the voice actor of Ken in Toy Story 3, and he happens to be one of my favorite actors of all time. What I like most about Ken's appearance in the Pixar film, is the fact that their version of Ken looks a bit sickly and over chiseled. But to tell you the truth, I actually wish my Ken dolls looked like that when I used to play with my Barbie dolls. I can already tell that Toy Story 3 is going to be hilariously funny, and I can almost bet that I will love the flick in every which way possible. Did you know that the first adaption of the Ken doll was made with felt? It's true, Ken didn't always have a plastic head. For the first year of his creation, Mattel made Ken with a hairstyle made of felt material. Did you also know that Ken has a last name? Yup, this is true again. His full name is Ken Carson, but we just know him as Ken instead. No matter how you look at it, he is just a cool looking plastic dude that has some cheesy style, and a conceded sense of humor. I hope you guys will enjoy this lesson that teaches you "how to draw Ken", step by step. I will be back later with my last two tutorials for the night. Peace out people, and have an awesome drawing night!
