How to Draw Human Derpy Hooves, My Little Pony

Step 1.

Make a medium sized circle for her head, then lightly sketch in a facial guideline.

Step 2.

Here you will start the drawing process to sketching out Derpy's hairstyle which happens to be in a forward clinging form. The bangs should be spiky.

Step 3.

Add some detailing to her hair like so, then draw her large excited looking eyes. Next, make the nose and happy mouth.

Step 4.

Thicken the lining to the face like so, then draw in her left ear as well as more of her hair. Lastly for this step, draw in her hands which are touching her face, then some of her arms like so. Sketch in the detailing on her arms.

Step 5.

You are almost done with this tutorial. Draw the length of her hair, then draw the torso, legs, and hips. You will also need to add a shirt and pant line as well.

Step 6.

Lastly, add more detailing to her hair, then draw in the pockets, and seam lines on her pants. Erase the mistakes before leaving this step.

Step 7.

Here is your human version of Derpy Hooves. Now you can color her in to perfection.

Description: Hey guys, it's me as usual and I'm back with another fun tutorial that was inspired by watching an episode of My Little Pony. My sister and I where watching an episode like I said, and in it Derpy Hooves was the star of the show. We laughed so hard because even though she is so cute, her crooked eyes makes her very entertaining, or hilarious to watch. I decided to make a tutorial on "how to draw human Derpy Hooves", step by step. I know there is a lot more people out there that will also enjoy this submission. I think I was even asked to draw her in human form. I dressed her with a simple sweat suit outfit because to me Derpy is comfortable in her own skin and she doesn't need all the pretty bows and ribbons to make her character shine. The tutorial itself should be rather simple, and I think you will find that drawing human Derpy Hooves is sort of more exciting than drawing her in her pony form. I have to bounce out of here so enjoy and make sure you comment and rate all the lessons, as well as artwork you come across on Dragoart.com.
