How to Draw Glinda, Oz the Great and Powerful

Step 1.


Make the shape for the head, then draw the torso, as well as the torso and smaller shape for her hand. Add the facial guidelines then proceed to step two.

Step 2.


Next, begin sketching out the shape of her face. Notice that she has a very feminine face that has a slender shape. Sketch in the strands of hair that fall on the side of her face like so, then move to step three.

Step 3.


Using the facial guidelines begin drawing the pretty eyes. The shapes of her eyes should be symmetrical and very clean lined. Draw the eyebrows, lashes, and then sketch in her nose, nostrils and very full lips. Add some light detailing to her eyes to   

Step 4.


This part may be a bit tricky but if you take your time you will do it. Begin drawing the crown. Start with the lid line of the crown that stretches around her head. The pieces of the crown should be drawn and put together in shards. It sort of remin   

Step 5.


Glinda has beautiful long blonde hair. Start drawing her long locks and make sure they hair curls at the ends like so. The curls should be thick or chunky, and they should also be very detailed.

Step 6.


Draw in her hand, then sketch out her wand. When you draw the wand you will need to add detailing to the diamond tip. Add detailing to the hand like so, the proceed to step seven.

Step 7.


Draw her shoulder and arm then add some lining to her torso. When that is done you will draw in the feather style shoulder padding which is part of her gown. Erase the mistakes then you're done.

Step 8.


Here is the line art when you are done. Now color her in and make her beautiful.

Description: You may be looking at the this photo and wonder who this pretty female character is. Well, this is Glinda, and she is the good witch from Oz the Great and Powerful. Glinda was also part of the original movie, and like the original she is still a very sweet, but forceful witch that will stop at nothing to keep her people safe and happy. Glinda aids Oscar or Oz in his destiny journey because she knows that deep inside he is a good and kind. Like with Oz, I tried making the character look as close to the actor who plays Glinda and that's Michelle Williams. So here is "how to draw Glinda" the Witch from Oz the Great and Powerful.
