How to Draw Oz, Oz the Great and Powerful
1
We will be drawing Oz from a 3/4 side view. Begin with the shape of the head like so, then sketching in the facial guidelines as well as the shoulder.
2
Using what you just made, sketch out the entire shape of the face, as well as the ear. When that is done add the fuzz for his sideburn, then proceed to step three.
3
All you have to do here is begin sketching out the back part of his head which is also his his hair. This is a young Oz that you will be drawing so his hair should look full not flat and lifeless.
4
Using the facial guidelines begin drawing the shapes of Oz's eyes. As you can see his eyes look very much like James Franco's. Sketch in the crease or folds under the eyes for detailing and to add expression to his face, then sketch out the eyebrows,
5
Next, draw in the top hat along with the folded up lid or rim. Add some definition to the hat, then proceed on.
6
Lastly, sketch out the shape of his neck, then draw the shirt collar, his tie knot, and the shoulders in the form of his jacket. You will be sure to add the definition to the clothing after you start erasing the mistakes.

Description: I said what the heck, and went ahead and made lessons on more of the characters from Oz the Great and Powerful. Up next we will learn "how to draw Oz", step by step. Now like I said in the flying monkey tutorial, Oz is being played by James Franco. In the film his real name is Oscar Diggs, and as you may remember from the original film, he is a magician who travels from place to place as an entertainer who is part of a traveling circus. His handsome good looks and charming ways enables Oscar to get himself out of sticky jams when need be. His whole life changes when he is thrown into a magical place called Land of Oz. If I say anymore you guys will make an early decision to either see the film on March 8th, or stay home. I for one would like to see the movie in theaters because it supposed to have amazing colors and special effects. Drawing Oz should be an interesting challenge. I think you’ll find that I tried to make the character look as close to James Franco as I could. I focused on the eyes because James is known for his eyes and smile. Have fun gang, I will return momentarily. Peace.
