How to Draw Gambit

First you will draw out the guidelines and shapes of Gambits body frame. Start with a circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw out the limb lines and then the torso guidelines. End this step by drawing out the square

You will now start drawing out the body's outlined shape the way you see it drawn for you here. Once that is done, you can draw out the eyes and nose.

Description: This is going to be an awesome next lesson because I am doing a tutorial on a character from the new X-Men movie "Origins". Of course it is not going to be the exact character from the flick, instead I chose to draw the original character from the Marvel comic books and animated series. The X-Men that I will be teaching you to do is going to be on “how to draw Gambit from X-Men step by step”. I have received so many requests for this character and even though I didn't really get into the series or comic book, I am looking forward to seeing the movie. Gambit's real name is Remy Etienne LeBeau, and he was abandoned when he was born because of his fiery red eyes. Although Remy was his name, he wasn't named by his paternal parents. Instead when he was in the hospital from being abandoned, Gambit was kidnapped by members of the New Orleans Thieves Guild. It is they who labeled him with his human name of “le diable blanc” which translates into “the white devil”. Up until he was ten years old, all Gambit was taught was how to steal and become a thief. At the age of ten, Remy approached a man named “Jean-Luc LeBeau”, with the man even acknowledging he was there, what the young boy wanted, was to pick the pockets of the gentleman standing along side him. Obviously he was caught and later adopted by Jean-Luc in an attempt to get the kid off the streets. Once in the care of his new adopted family, he was married to a young woman by the name of Bella Donna Boudreaux. Now because Bella's brother didn't want her marring Remy, the two had it out in a duel and Gambit killed Julien (Bella's brother) but it was only done out of self-defense. Now because the two guilds had a non-aggression pact, Remy was cast away form the guild and left to walk the streets around the world surviving on his thieving skills and his mutation power which was the ability to charge objects with explosive energy, like his famous deck of cards. He is also skilled with a staff and in fencing. He speaks two languages, English and French. Now to be more specific on what Gambit's powers are, let me explain how he is able to charge objects. Gambit is able to cut into energy within objects like cards, knives, spears, and other small things. He takes the objects energy and transforms it into kinetic energy when he touches something. In the comics and in the animated cartoon series “X-Men, he falls in love with Rouge and the two share a bond that is special because they cannot touch each other without Rouges mutant ability getting in the way. I had fun drawing out Gambit and I know that there is artists out there that like this character as well. When you learn “how to draw Gambit step by step”, you will see how fun learning to draw Marvel Comics characters can really be. Peace out!
