How to Draw Professor X
2
next draw a stick figure of the professor sitting in the chair- these will be the frame upon which the whole drawing rests.
3
now we draw the figure and the chair using your underdrawing as a guide.this is called a contour drawing and it's basically just an outline of the outside edge of the forms.
4
now erase the underdrawing and start adding more details to your contour drawing- the lines of his suit, his tie, lapels, his hands and shoes.....don't sweat the details of the chair too much- remember- it's made-up, and like Xavier, has gone through

Description: In this lesson you will learn to draw Professor X of the X-Men. First off, his real name is Charles Francis Xavier and as leader of the X-Men. He is paraplegic and has the power to read and influence human minds. He has gone through many different versions, most notably as the character from the films as played by the noble Welshman, Mr. Patrick Stewart. Xavier’s goals are to promote the peaceful affirmation of mutant rights, to mediate the co-existence of mutants and humans and to protect society from antagonistic mutants, including his old friend, the militant Magneto. To achieve these aims, he founded Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters (later named the Xavier Institute) to teach mutants to explore and control their powers. Its first group of students was the original X-Men. Xavier's students consider him a visionary and often refer to their mission as "Xavier's dream". He is highly regarded by others in the Marvel universe, respected by various governments and trusted by several other superhero teams, including the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. So, without further ado, let's draw!
