How to Draw Ergo Proxy, Re-l Mayer

Step 1.


Begin the first step with a circle shape for the head and then sketch in the facial guidelines like so.

Step 2.


Here you will start drawing out the thickened top lid lines for her eyes, and then sketch in the nose and mouth like you see here.

Step 3.


Continue with drawing out Mayer's eyes, and notice how you will also need to sketch in some short but condensed lashes.

Step 4.


We are still working on her eyes by drawing in the iris' pupils, and then her nicely shaped eyebrows.

Step 5.


Now that her face is all drawn in, we can focus on getting the shape of her face sketched out as well as her futuristic hairstyle. Start by drawing the bottom portion of her face, then sketch out her hair. You will do this by drawing the bangs combed   

Step 6.


For your last drawing step all you need to do is sketch out the shape of her long feminine neck, followed by her shoulders. Draw the collar of the shirt, then sketch in the detailing to her clothing that is visible. Erase the mistakes and guides that   

Step 7.


Here is Mayer's from Ergo Proxy when you are all done. Color in your work then show it off.

Description: So I was looking for some cool characters to upload that where from an anime style series and I found one that looked extremely cool, and science fiction based. The anime show is called Ergo Proxy, and it is what you would call a dark style of sci-fi mixed with mystery. The main character of the series is Re-l Mayer and she is the one that is charge with finding out more information of some murders that have taken place recently. Her partner in the investigation is an AutoReiv called Iggy. Re-I is from the Citizen Intelligence Bureau. I guess the base of the story takes place after a global ecological disaster happened a few thousand years ago. Of course since it's been thousands of years the present time is based on a futuristic premise. Humans learn to live with AutoReivs which are androids, but not for long. A strain of murders has hit the city and it's believed that the culprits are in fact AutoReivs that are infected with a virus called “Cogito”. This type of virus causes the androids to become self aware of their state. Almost like the robot in Bicentennial man. Anyways, I'm still learning more about the series and I just may start either watching it, or reading the manga. I will say one thing, the main character looks a lot like Amy Lee from Evanescence. Well I think you will enjoy drawing Re-I or Ergo Proxy. I will return with some more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what will be uploaded next. Peace out and enjoy!
