Make a circle for the face/head, sketch in the facial guidelines, then draw a cone like shape around the head. It's almost like a hoovering halo.

Up next, sketch out the actual facial structure for Cthulhu's face or head. It sort of looks like a spade. The mouth or lip lining should have a wavy pattern.

Using the facial guidelines you will draw out the shapes of the eyes. They are very intense in shape and expression.

There are five tentacles that you need to draw in next. Notice that they curl at the ends in different directions.

You will now draw out the large outline for Cthulhu's wings. Right now it is just hoovering around the head.

Now you can draw in the rest of the wings design. This is deep slits inside the skin tissue of the wings like you see here. When you are done you can erase your mistakes.

Now you have a nicely drawn image to color in and show off.

Description: Some may recognize this image as being the face from the creator of the Cthulhu Mythos which is a universe of writings from H. P. Lovecraft. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Cthulhu" so get ready to have some fun. I'd love to give a shoutout and link to this design which I have taken inspiration from, and since it was linked to me by a requester here on Drago, I thought I'd make it look a bit similar. But first, I will tell you a little about the monster. The image is of the creature or deity 'Cthulhu'. The monster is almost an anthropoid with a face that strongly resembles an octopus. Cthulhu's face is also supposed to have feelers which makes it even more hideous. In all, Cthulhu is said to be a combination of three figures; a human, dragon and octopus. If you are one of the folks that requested this tutorial, I hope you have fun with drawing Cthulhu. I will be back because there are still a few more lessons that needs to be uploaded.
