How to Draw an Alien Monster

We will begin by drawing a small head guide, then a good size torso shape for your body guide. When that is done you can sketch in the facial guidelines and limb guidelines.

Up next, sketch in the facial shape for the inside of the alien monster's face. This lining is jagged because of the facial hair on the face. Also, draw the small ears.

Begin using the facial guidelines by drawing out the almond shaped eyes, then sketch in the nose, mouth and detailing inside the ears as well as on the surface of the alien's face.

Take your time with this step because you will have to sketch out the alien monster's head and hairstyle. The hair is long, thick and braided at the ends. Again, you can choose to go with any hairstyle you want.

Now that the alien's head and face is complete, we can work on the body. Start with the massively defined shoulders. The body is very muscular and toned. Draw in the long, bulky arms and then sketch in the hair for the tops of each hand.

Okay, we are almost done with this alien monster. You will sketch out the rest of the body or torso like so, then sketch in the legs which are a lot smaller then the rest of the body. I guess you could say that the build of this monster is all upper

Lastly, draw in the large hands, then draw in the feet which are a lot like that of an ape. Add detailing to the muscles, hands and feet, then erase all your mistakes and guidelines/shapes.

Here is the line art when you are all done with the drawing. Now you can have some fun coloring in the sketch.

Description: There are many ways that one can come up with an idea to draw aliens. These creatures or beings come in all shapes, sizes, colors and creeds. Today, I will show you how to draw an alien monster, step by step. I conjured up this species just by combining a few animals I am a fan of. These animals are a gorilla, and the abominable snowman. I really, really love the way that he came out. The colors and hairstyle remind me of the Avatar characters from James Cameron's movie. Overall this majestic looking alien beast will be simple enough for everyone to tackle and draw. I know that you can add your own personal tweaks like turn this boy alien to a girl alien. Something like that is easy because all you have to do is slim the waist line and add some lashes. Anyways, that's all I have to say for now.
