How to Draw Cinderpelt

Artist: Dawn / September 17, 2014

Step 1.

Start by drawing the head and body shape like you see here. Sketch in the facial guidelines then move to step two.

Step 2.

You will now define the shape of Cinderpelt's face structure. She is looking at the viewer from an angle. Add some tufts of hair on top of her head.

Step 3.

Use the facial guidelines to draw in the big catty shapes of her eyes. Add the arches to form the high raised lids and give her thick lid lines.

Step 4.

You will now draw in the rest of the face which is Cinderpelt's nose, mouth and whiskers. Finish the eyes and move along to step five.

Step 5.

The next thing to do is to draw the pointed ears. Try and make them kind of thick. Add some hair inside the ears, then define them a bit.

Step 6.

Draw in Cinderpelt's neck, chest and then her shoulder and some of her leg.

Step 7.

Draw both Cinderpelt's front legs and paws. When you tackle this step try and remember the tips I showed you in my 'drawing cat anatomy' lesson.

Step 8.

Here you can proceed on with the task of drawing the back, hind leg, and stomach.

Step 9.

Draw the remaining parts of Cinderpelt's back legs and paws, then move down to the last drawing step.

Step 10.

The last thing to draw so we can finish this drawing on Cinderpelt is the addition of a long puffy tail. Erase your mistakes and guides when you're done.

Step 11.

The line art comes out looking like so. Just color her in and you are done with another piece of artwork on a Warrior Cats character.

Description: Every once in a while I will get requests for me to make more character lessons on some of the cats from the book series 'Warrior Cats'. So today I will be doing just that. Here is "how to draw Cinderpelt", step by step. Now this she-cat is a smokey dark grey color with incredibly blue colored eyes. She is small and sleek, shy but loud, and short but fluffy. I don't know much about her except she is part of the Thunderclan. Drawing Cinderpelt from Warrior Cats was so fun, I always look forward to getting more requests for these cats. I hope you enjoy the tut.
