How to Draw Chibi Faces

Step 1.


Like with all head or face tutorials, you will start with a series of circle shapes for the guidelines of the head figures you will be drawing. Once the chibi head shapes are drawn out you can add the facial guidelines. The face to the lower right ha   

Step 2.


For the top three chibi faces you will draw out the shapes of the actual face. In this case the chibi face has a square blocky look so it should be really easy to draw. When that is done you can then start sketching out the front part of the chibi fa   

Step 3.


You will continue to sketch out the shapes and styles of all the faces you are drawing here in step three. Once they are drawn out, add some detailing and then draw the shapes of the eyes, mouths, and even noses on some of the chibi faces as well as    

Step 4.


For your last drawing step all you have to do is sketch out the rest of the chibi face hair and then draw an ear on the chibi face. Next, sketch out the face on the lower left hand side. When that is done you can start erasing all the guidelines and    

Step 5.


Now that you are done your faces should come out looking like the ones you see here. All you need to do now to finish this lesson on"how to draw chibi faces", is color them in. Hope you had fun, let's do it again sometime.

I will now submit a tutorial that shows you "how to draw chibi faces step by step". I know what your thinking to yourself, "you already have a tutorial on chibi expressions". And you know what, you're right. But expressions and faces are two different aspects. Drawing expressions is something you do to a face that is already drawn out. When you draw a face, you will need to chose an expression to put on that face right? Well the lesson on drawing expressions basically shows you different face styles that you can place on your own chibi character. Learning "how to draw chibi faces" is something you need to learn how to do first before you draw an expression. This tutorial will teach you how to do just that. I love drawing chibi, and in this lesson I actually show you the transformation when a manga/anime face is drawn chibi style. I had a lot of fun drawing this sketch out live yesterday and I think you guys will also get a kick out of learning "how to draw chibi faces step by step".
