Draw the oval lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw it as seen in the picture.

Now draw in the bisecting red line to balance his facial features.

Sketch lightly the crescent red lines for hair line and head mass.

You can draw in the lines a. for eyebrows, b. for eyes, c. for nose, d. for mouth, e. for shoulder placements.

Now draw Chad's eyebrows and eyes with brow creases.

Observe where Chad's features appear in relation to the guidelines. Draw in his nose and shadow, also his mustache and mouth.

Watch closely how Chad's beard, cheeks and jawlines relate to the guidelines. As you draw, you will have more accuracy.

I'm breaking up his hair in two steps for easier concentration. When you sketch in the left side of his hair, add those straight lines and curls. Try staying close to the lines that represent the direction & curls of his hair. This will help as you s

Now draw in the right side of his hair and shoulder. If you haven't already, you can erase your guidelines.

Here is the outline done with a 0.7mm mechanical pencil. Look closely and see if your lines look something like this. You can erase if certain areas like the eyes or nose don't line up. Be patient with this, it's not as complicated as you may think.

Description: Chad Kroeger (born November 15, 1974) is a fantastic Canadian songwriter, singer, and guitarist best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Canadian rock band Nickelback, which I have enjoyed. Also I chose Chad as a reference for an original character. His shockingly long blond hair, dark eyebrows, deep eyes, and beard made him the perfect model for my drawings.
