Step 1.

Since you are drawing two cats, there is going to be two sets of heads and everything. Make two circles for the head and then draw in the face guides.

Step 2.

Thicken the shape of the cat head to the left and be sure that the lining is bold or dark. Draw in the ears, and move along people!

Step 3.

Draw the shapes or arches of the eyes, and then draw the eyeballs. Color in the shape for a nose, and then sketch in the whiskers, and mouth like so.

Step 4.

Draw the cats body and then draw in the legs, tail, and make the toe lines.

Step 5.

Make the other cat's head shape which is slightly larger than the first cat. Make the ears, and sketch in some brows.

Step 6.

Next, draw the oval shaped eyes, and then draw in the nose, mouth and more whiskers.

Step 7.

You will be finishing off the cat by drawing out the body, legs, and then the long tail. Erase your mistakes and then clean up the guides.

Step 8.

Here is your line art when you are all done. Now you can color in your cats and show them off to your friends, and family.

Description: I see a lot of you guys enjoyed the lesson on the lions for kids. Since you liked the lions so much, how about I teach you "how to draw cats for kids", step by step using the same drawing style. Cats have always been one of my favorite animals to draw along with dinosaurs, birds, wolves, and dragons. I have had several cats in my growing up days and every one of them are still very vivid in my mind. Now, I have had some cool cats of my day, but there will never, ever be a cat like the one we had for a year before someone stole him from us. His name was Boots and he was the Johnny Bravo of all cats. He was gigantic, full of personality, had his own attitude, and he also acted very much like a dog. I may one day make a tutorial on Boots because everyone one in the house loved him. For now I will just show you how easy drawing cats for kids can be. You can choose to alter the coloring and or marking if you want. Have fun and stick around.
