How to Draw Anime Clouds

Step 1.


Start with a swirl for the first cloud end and proceed to step two.

Step 2.


Continue to draw the pattern of the cloud which is a series of swirls and layers.

Step 3.


Complete the cloud by drawing the bottom half and the horn like end.

Step 4.


For the smaller cloud all you have to do is draw the swirled curl at the top left end and then draw the tip to the right end.

Step 5.


For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the last cloud which is smaller then the second one you just made. Erase mistakes if you made any.

Step 6.


Here is the line art. When you like, you can go ahead and color them in.

I actually should have made this lesson a long time ago, but it wasn't until someone asked me to make the tut that I remembered to make a tutorial on how to draw anime clouds, step by step. These style clouds are actually very popular to those who draw anime on a regular basis and who like to draw in their own backgrounds to go with whatever images that are being drawn. There are three different shaped anime style clouds that you will get a lesson on. Of course you can draw as many clouds as you want, the choice is definitely yours. I shall be back soon with more lessons so don't go anywhere.
