Abstract Face Drawing Lesson

Step 1.

Start by drawing the facial guidelines for the face and then draw the outline for the face shape.

Step 2.

Starting at the top left side, sketch out the structure for the forehead/temple of the face and then draw in the long, curled eye lines. The curls are for the lashes.

Step 3.

Here you will sketch out the bump for the eye, then sketch in the actual shape of her face which is the cheek and chin.

Step 4.

Finish drawing the eyes which should be super big and beautiful. Add the long curly lashes and then darken the lids.

Step 5.

Finish the eyes by sketching the water line and eyeballs (iris' and pupils).

Step 6.

Next, draw the eyebrows in a very simple manner and then sketch out the small nose and big, luscious lips.

Step 7.

Lastly, draw in the cloud like smoke for hair to fill in the gaps around the head and face. Erase your guidelines when you are done as well as the mistakes.

Step 8.

Here is the line art to have fun with as you color in this drawing of an abstract face.

Description: This is a very beautiful concept drawing of an abstract face that I had a lot of fun designing last night before I called it quits for the day. The wispy clouds for her hair and the big beautiful eye design really makes this abstract style drawing stick out. I don't know what compelled me to create this sketch, I think I was just in the mood to do something a little different than I'm used to drawing. I have also been getting into concept art a lot and I think you can notice that withe the latest lessons I have been uploading. Hopefully everyone has been enjoying them because I put a lot of hours into those pieces so they both look good and are easy to replicate using the lessons provided. Anyways, if you are an artist that likes drawing abstract art, you should enjoy this beautiful face.
