Make a circle for the head then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Next up, sketch out the shape of her face starting with the bottom section only.

Here you will draw the shapes of the eyes, and you will start this task by making the top lids thick and dark. Add some eyelid creases, then draw eyebrows.

Finish the shapes of her eyes, then draw the nose and smile for her mouth.

Here you will draw the hair starting with the chunks that fall on the sides of her face. Most young girls have bangs that frame the entire shape of the face. This is the style you see here.

Finish sketching out the shape of her head which is also the long straight hair. Add some scattered hair chunks, then add detailing.

Almost done folks. Draw the shape of her neck, then draw in the shoulders, and ruffle lining for her dress collar.

Lastly, draw in the torso which will also form the shapes of her arms. Add the small tied bow from the lace string, then add a seam and small button holes. Erase the mistakes then you are good to go.

This is what your anime kid looks like when you are finished. Color her in and you are ready to show off your artistic work.

This version of an anime person is something that I don't see a lot of artwork or lessons on.There are plenty of shows and movies that star anime children as lead characters like Ponyo and Sasuke, Chihiro from Spirited Away, and Arrietty from Secret of Arrietty. Anyways, the girl I made for you all is very cute, and she is actually based on my ten year old sister who has big eyes, long dark hair and a sweet smile. I hope you have fun drawing an anime kid as much as I did making it.
