How to Draw an Anime Heart

Start the first step by making the head guides, facial guidelines and neck lines for each face. They will be drawn from the side.

When you tackle this step the head shape is going to form the first hump of the heart. Next, sketch in the girls bangs, and the hair that falls on the side of her face.

Sketch out the profile of the anime girl which begins with the nose, lips, chin and jawline. When that is complete you can go ahead and draw in the shape of her eye.

Finish the eye by adding the pupil, then add a small dash for her mouth.

For the second figure or anime head you will again form the second hump to form the heart which is also the boy's head. Draw in the long shaggy bangs, then add some layered hair to the back part of his head.

We will now tackle the task of drawing the profile for his face. Start with the slope of the nose, then make the lips, chin and jawline. Also draw in the shape of his ear and add detailing inside the ear.

Here you will draw in the shape of his eye, add the eyebrow, nostril line and then make the frown for the mouth.

Complete the heart by drawing the rest of the heart shape. Inside the heart draw the necks and some of the shoulders along with more hair. Erase your mistakes and guides then you are done.

As you can see the line art will come out looking like the drawing here once you've colored in the empty hollows of the heart leaving the anime love heads defined.

Description: Hey everyone, I hope all is well with members and visitors around the world. Today I have a bunch of new tuts that will definitely put a simple on faces. I will start with this lesson on how to draw an anime heart, step by step. When I named this lesson I wanted it to be simple enough to explain just by looking at the image. As you can see the anime couple in this drawing are combined into heart and the red coloring represents love. Making this concept was super fun because it was totally something I conjured up out of the blue. In the end drawing love in the form of anime faces makes this tut a must to tackle.
