Step 3.
Sketch out the actual shape of the rose like so until you have a tulip shape for center part of the rose which is the bud. Draw a swift contouring line for the petal of the rose on the right side like so.

Continue to draw out the blooming petals for your Valentine rose until you have the shape of the rose like you see here. Notice how the edging has some dips and points.

Step 7.
Next, and lastly all you have to do is sketch in the vein detailing on the leaves, and then draw the thick stem. Erase the mistakes that you made along the way and then you are all done.

Step 8.
Here is what your drawing looks like when you are all done. Color in your rose and you are done. I tried to write an inscription on the rose but I don't think it looks too good.

Description:
I can’t say that Valentine’s Day is going to be a quick holiday to pass because the truth is; people keep the giving process going for a good three days after Valentine’s Day is over. I will upload another lesson that is going to be flowers that you see a lot of people buy for their loved ones whether it is from the side of the road, drug store, florist, or even grocery store. Today, we will be learning "how to draw a Valentine rose", step by step. Roses are beautiful flowers to draw but they can be a bit complex to tackle and complete. Hopefully this tutorial will make things a whole lot easier so you can create a rose for that special someone. This is also a great lesson to follow if you are planning on making a Valentine’s Day card for someone. I know that a lot of people love making cards opposed to buying them because more love goes into the whole process. Anyways, I do hope you enjoy drawing a Valentines rose, and as you begin this tut, I will be finishing another for you all to enjoy. Thanks guys and have fun!
