How to Draw a Trout, Trout Fish
1
The first step you need to make is in the form of the outline of an anime style eye. There should be two points, one at the front, and one at the end.
2
Begin sketching out the actual shape of the trout starting at the mouth. The front part of the fish almost looks like a nostril. Continue the lining into an arch, and then draw out the tail.
3
Draw the rest of the fish's jaw and then continue drawing out the belly and all the fins. Add detailing to the jaw, and then move to step four.
4
Draw in the small round eye, and color in an eyeball. Add some detailing behind the eye, and then draw in the fin detailing by drawing out the rib lines on each fin. Draw in the curled separation line at the tail, and then proceed onto the next step.
5
The only thing you have to do here is draw out the back fin, and then add the ribs to the fin like you did on the other ones.
6
Carefully color in all the spots on the trouts back like so. These spots are sort of like a trademark for trout, so be sure to draw the spots in very different shapes. Erase the guideline shape you drew in step one if it's visible.

Description: I went fishing about two weeks ago and it was the first time I ever did so. Since I live in the north east part of America, almost near Canada, the fish that folks go fishing for is Trout. My little sister and I went to a spot where lake trout fill the waters. We sat there for about two hours trying to get a nibble, but unfortunately we didn’t catch anything at all. We came to the conclusion that a boat was definitely need because we needed to cast the line to the middle of the lake where all the fish where located. Anyways because it was such a fun day for me I wanted to make a tutorial on "how to draw a trout", step by step. We have brook trout, lake trout, and rainbow trout where I live and the type I was trying to catch was lake trout. Plan on going fishing again real soon, and hopefully when I do, I will come home with lunch. Trout is supposed to have a real nice flavor, but they also have many bones, and are very oily. They feed mainly on smaller fish, but also eat insects, worms, and even small animal parts. The lesson should be relatively easy, and when you’re done you will have a really simple, somewhat cool drawing on the trout. How you have fun drawing a trout guys, be sure to let me know if you liked this lesson, or if there is another fish you would like to see as a drawing, as well as broken down in to drawing steps. Peace out people!
