Step 1.
Start by making an oval shape for the entire body of the fish. Also add a guideline through the center too.

Step 2.
Next, draw out the shape of the actual body, then draw in the first ventral fin which is long and slender.

Step 3.
Draw in the other ventral fin, then add the small shape for the pectoral fin. The long fin under the body is actually called the anal fin so draw that out as well. Lastly draw out the large eye shape, then the eyeball.

Step 4.
To finish off the body of the betta, all you have to do is draw out the other two long flowing fins. The top one is the dorsal fin, and obviously the tail fin.

Step 5.
Lastly add all the ribbed lining on each fin like so. This will add texture and definition for the betta that you just made. Erase the mistakes as well as guidelines that you made along the way.

Step 6.
When you're done you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Choose a color, then have fun coloring it in.

Description:
Hey folks, how are you all doing on this fine Sunday morning? I have a very pretty tutorial for those of you that love bettas, but when it comes to drawing one, it can be difficult because of the long beautiful fins. As you know it is only the male betta that have long fins. The females look like regular fish without the long dorsal and pectoral fins. Today you will learn "

", step by step. When you tackle this tutorial you will realize that drawing a betta isn't all that hard after all. The color I chose is my favorite shade that they come in. The blue hues and red toned tint makes this betta a sight for sore eyes. Well, enjoy this lesson folks. I know you probably will. I shall return later with another submission for all you xxxHolic fans. Peace peeps!
