How to Draw a Rib Cage Tattoo
1
Begin the first step by sketching out the outlined shape of the ribs. These shapes will be your guide to sketching out the ribs.
2
Begin this second step by drawing the first layer of bone or ribs. The chest plate should also be added at this point as well.
4
As you can see by the time you get to this step, all the ribs are drawn in and the rest of the breast bone is sketched out or created as well.
5
Add the rest of the shapes for the bones at the bottom of the torso. When that is done you can move along to step six.
6
We will now sketch out the inner part of the ribs. This will form the dimensional shape for the rib cage.
8
Carefully sketch in the heart under the rib cage bones. When that is done add definition to the heart to add texture, then sketch in the indents to the breast plate.
9
The rib cage is all done. You will start the drawing process for the first flower. The petals should be long.
11
Add the stamen inside the flower, then sketch in the base of the bloom along with the leaves. Add the spots on the petals, then proceed to step twelve.
14
For the last step you will draw in the stamen inside the lily, then sketch in the speckles, and another leafy bloom behind the two lilies. Erase the mistakes, then you are all done.

Description: St first glance it's hard to figure out what exactly this piece of art represents because of the bare bone of the rib cage, the beautiful blossoms, and the heart that is the only thing that stands out in a bold manner even though it's covered with blackened ribs. When I was sketching out this drawing a lot of things where going through my mind. I was thinking of beauty, suffocation, fear, love, joy, pain, curious, and stunned. I think what this drawing conveys is how no matter how gloomy, depressed, confused or frustrated you feel, beauty and love will always find it's way through all the despair. The flowers will eventually gain its color back as the sorrow fades away. I hope you like learning how to draw a rib cage tattoo, I really love how this drawing concept came out.
