How to Draw a Phoenix Tattoo, Phoenix Tattoo
2
Here you will start drawing out the shape of the phoenix's head and beak like so. As you can see the back of the head has a spiky crown or crest.
3
Draw the marking line on the beak, and then draw in the eye. Add the shape of the tongue and then move to step four.
4
Sketch out the neck, and then begin drawing out the ruffled up feathers. We're going to do this with layers from this step on. It's best to keep each ruffle section in proper length.
5
You will continue to draw out the spiky feathers that will eventually form the wings and body. Notice how I draw feather pieces instead of whole parts. Draw in some of the chest like so using the same drawing technique you're using to form the wings
6
Keep going with the momentum by drawing out the rest of the wings, and then you can move along to step seven.
7
Now you are all ready to finish drawing out the phoenix bird. You can do this by drawing out the tail, and then drawing the legs and feet which are clawed out. Erase any mistakes and guidelines that you made in step one, and then you're done.

Description: Up next is my version of what a very bright and colorful tattoo would look like if it were based on the phoenix. Today I will start the day by showing you "how to draw a phoenix tattoo", step by step. Some may love this drawing and or lesson, and then again some may turn away from it. I hope that everyone at least looks at the phoenix because I think the drawing came out rather cool and inviting. Anyways, I really don’t know why I decided to make a tattoo in this manner; all I know is that I thought that creating a simple looking phoenix in a clean bright style would make a good design for an inking job. Other than letting you guys know that this is a tutorial on "how to draw a phoenix tattoo", there is really nothing more for me to say because I have written about so many of these birds in the past that whenever I make another I sort of get a loss for words. Just have fun, and remember to rate, comment, or even fav any or all of the tutorials you come across today on Dragoart.com.
