How to Draw a Gryphon for Beginners

Step 1.

Make the shapes for the head and body then draw out the guidelines for the face and wings.

Draw the gryphon's beak and mouth line.

Create the eyes and the stare as well. Don't forget the dimple for the nasal cavity.

Begin to create the eagle shaped head and the feathered neck.

We can tackle the back end of the gryphon by drawing the legs and feet/talons.

We can finish the head and draw out the ear, then draw the front portion of the body as well as the talons.

Begin forming the wings like you see them shaped and spread out for you here.

Create the other wing.

Now add the final step and that is the lion like tail. If you made mistakes, erase them now.

That's all there is to drawing a gryphon. I hope you had fun.
