How to Draw a Donkey

The first thing I like to do is draw out some basic guidelines and shapes that will aid you to draw a perfect cartoon donkey. Start with a big circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw a neck line and then attach it to the egg

You will now start drawing in the eyes, and make sure you color the pupils in. Next sketch out some eyebrows and then draw the hint of a cheek under the right eye. You will draw a line for the donkeys muzzle and then move to the next step.

Sketch out the long messy looking hair that I gave this cartoon animal and then draw the ears. You will finish the muzzle and then draw a bottom lip. Draw the front of the neck and then the front leg and hoof.

Draw the other leg and hoof and then make a friendly smile. You will detail inside of the cartoon donkeys ear and then finish the head shape.

Here is your last drawing step and all you need to do is draw the back line and then the short stubby tail. Finish drawing out the legs and back hooves and once that is done you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step on

This is what your cartoon animal should look like when you are done. After you color him in you should have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. That is all to it, you just learned "how to draw a cartoon donkey" step by step.

Description: My next lesson is gong to be on a very cute cartoon donkey. Everyone loves donkeys and I can remember going to the petting zoo to see and pet animals that I think are cool. One of my favorite farm animals to visit is the donkey. I think donkeys are misunderstood because everyone seems to think they are lazy and stupid. The people that think that are obviously wrong. There is three animals that differ from the horse and most people think that these animals are a lot like the horse. The fact is donkeys, zebras and mules may look like the horse but they are in fact very different. This tutorial is about the donkey so that is what I will talk about. The donkey has longer ears than the regular horse, and they also have shorter necks. The mane and tail hair on a donkey is extremely coarse and upright. The hair that flows down the back of the donkeys neck is stiff to touch and feels like a brush. The hooves of a donkey is shorter and rounder than a horses, and their voices are also very different. Donkeys do not nay, instead they EE-Aw. The vocals of a donkey are raspy and brassy and because of this they let out a “EE-Aw” sound when they decide to talk. Most of these animals are a slate grey color and even a dark brown color. The color of the donkey can also be white as well and when they are this color they can be very pretty.
