Step 1.

Start this lesson on your cartoon deer by drawing out the shape of the head and then add the facial guidelines as well as the antler guidelines. Next draw a neck line and attach it to another circle for the torso of the animal that you are drawing. D

Step 2.

Start drawing out the shape of the deers face and snout and then draw a solid eye. Draw the back of the head and under the head which is the neck and chest.

Step 3.

Start sketching out the shape and design of the antlers as you see here and then sketch out the deer ear. You will add a nose tip and then draw more of the chest as well as the front lifted leg and hoof.

Step 4.

Draw the other front leg and hoof and then draw the shape of the cartoon deer's belly and some of the hind leg.

Step 5.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do now is finish drawing out the hind legs and hooves and then sketch in a cute little deer tail. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and move to the line art step to see wh

Step 6.

Your finished forest animal should look like the one you see here. Color it in and your all done with this lesson on "how to draw a cartoon deer step by step".

Description: Here is another cartoon animal for the books and I am only submitting it because I found it already drawn out and ready to go in an old folder from last month. The reason why I didn’t upload this lesson when I first drew it was because the front leg was messed up, so I found it and fixed it. I hope you guys will like this lesson on “how to draw a cartoon deer”, step by step. The deer is one of the animals that I think should not be hunted even though there is ton in existence like the squirrel. The deer to me is different because they bother nobody, they stay in the woods of the forest, and all they do is eat greens and graze through their dwellings. To me that is very peaceful, making them unnoticed. Now maybe for some of you, deer is an everyday animal that is seen almost all the time. But even if you do see deer all the time, do they really bother you? If an animal isn’t threatening, and they aren’t pests, why bother to kill them. Well that is my view on the whole deer hunting subject. I have a regular realistic deer already submitted here on DragoArt so if you guys want to check that out you can. If you are a novice artist, I would suggest that you tackle this lesson on “how to draw a cartoon deer” first and then move onto the more complex version (and that one is not even hard either). Got to go folks but I will return with two more lessons for you all. Keep up the good work and happy drawing!
