1

Start with the M which looks like a single bar note with an added quarter note symbol.

2

You will now draw in the U which has the single bar note upside down. Also add some shading to darken certain areas of the letter/note.

3

For the S in music you will draw a Treble clef note like so. When that is done you can add small music notes dancing above the U.

4

All you have to do here is draw in the I and then add a simple crescent symbol for the dot.

5

We will finish the actual word MUSIC by drawing the C. Through the C you will draw in three staff lines.

6

Lastly, add a couple parallel lines under the MUSIC tattoo like so, and erase what mistakes you might have made.

7

You are officially finished. Now just add some color if you like or take the drawing to your tattooist to get an ink job done.

Description: I came across this tattoo design when I was looking in a tattoo parlor design book and I gotta say, it caught my eye. This lesson is based off the design I happened to stumble upon. We will learn how to draw a music tattoo, step by step. If you notice all the letters are actual music notes which makes the design so cool. Don't get me wrong, not all the letters are actual notes, some are and some are made up symbols that look like notes. Anyways, this would make a great tattoo for someone who loves music, or for someone who plays musical instruments like the cello, violin, piano, guitar or what have you. I will be back with some other tuts but for now have fun with drawing a Music tattoo.
