Drawing a Girl with Crows

Step 1.

We will begin with drawing the guide for the face or head like so and then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

Next, define the shape of the girl's face like so, then begin to draw in her long hair which is blowing in the breeze as her hair will have crows coming from it later.

Step 3.

Use the facial guidelines to draw in the saddened eyes. The bold eye lining should make her eyes stand out more.

Step 4.

Here you will draw in her nose, and then the eyebrows. Make sure the eyebrows are colored in. Once that is done draw the mouth or lips as well.

Step 5.

Sketch in the indent to her face on the side where her cheeks are, then color in the hair solid or wait until, you are ready to add color to the whole drawing.

Step 6.

For the last step, draw a flock of crows as the flutter all around the girl. The birds are in different sizes so be sure to make them different and scattered. Erase your mistakes and guides too.

Step 7.

Here is the line art. You can now color in this drawing of a girl with crows.

Description: Even though this lesson has the title of how to draw a crow tattoo, there is in fact a female's face included with the lesson. I have been thinking long and hard about getting a tattoo, but I am still very undecided about what I want as a design before I make that choice. Once you get a tattoo there is no coming back from it, it's one hundred percent permanent. So, as I was thinking about cool tattoo ideas, I came up with this one of a girl's face with a look of despair on her face. She is wearing a crown of thorns with the escape of crows flying all around her. I think my message behind the drawing is how when someone has the feeling of despair, thoughts of death escape the mind. The crows represent death, and the crown of thorns represents a tie that binds ourselves to religious beliefs as we try and pull out from the pits that leave us emotionless, desperate, and sad. I do hope you like this tut, I made this drawing yesterday so have fun. Adios people and enjoy!
