How to Draw Venus McFlytrap, Monster High

Step 1.


Make the shape of a seed, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Here you will sketch out the actual shape of her face. As you can see it looks a little like a heart. Draw in the ear, then make sure that the chin comes into a point.

Step 3.


One of the things I like about Venus is her eyes. Draw out the eyes starting with a light sketch, then thicken the lining until it is dark and bold. Sketch in some thick lashes, then draw her nose, heart shaped lips, and add some detailing inside of    

Step 4.


finish the eyes by making the eyeballs, color in the pupils, then add a nostril. Draw in the middle line for her mouth, then add her piercings on her lips, and ear. Also draw the shaved part of her head or hair.

Step 5.


Sketch out the shape of her neck, then draw in her torso which is more shapely than the some of the other female figures from Monster High. Draw the opening of her vest, then draw in her necklace in the form of a vine.

Step 6.


Complete the formation of the vest like so, then draw in the sleeves, buttons, and trim lining. Next, draw the arms which are obviously resting on her hips.

Step 7.


Lastly, all you have to do is draw out a big wave for her long straight hair which is combed to one side like so. Add some thick strand too before you erase the mistakes.

Step 8.


Now that you are all done, you should end up with a drawing of Venus McFlytrap that looks like the one you see here. Color her in and that's it.

Description: Well, the second Monster High gal that I will be giving you a lesson on is pink, green, and real exciting looking. Today I will be showing you "how to draw Venus McFlytrap", step by step. I just love her last name because as you know it is the same as one of my favorite eighties movies characters Marty McFly. If you're wondering who she is related to or who her parents are, I will tell you now. Venus' father is actually the Plant Monster which is I'm guessing the plant from Little Shop of Horrors. I mean, wasn't the plant a Venus flytrap? Anyways, She is probably one of the hippest looking characters from Monster High. Her hair is shaved on one side, while it falls down pushed to another side. It is long, straight and two toned with pinks and greens. Her skin is a mild green color too, and her clothes are pretty rad. She doesn't wear skimpy clothes so that's a plus. Her pet companion is actually a Venus flytrap called Chewlian and he looks a lot like the plant from Little Shop of Horrors. Anyways, she will be fun to draw because she is colorful and full of life. Drawing Venus McFlytrap is going to enable you to add another Monster High character to your art collection. Have fun people and remember to comment, rate or do both. Adios mi amigos.
