Description: I was thinking yesterday as I watched one of my favorite cartoons, on what characters from the animated show I still have yet to draw and submit. Then it hit me, I never did a tutorial on how to draw the Flying Dutchman from SpongeBob Squarepants step by step. “Perfect” I thought as I was racing for my tablet pen to get started on this awesome character from the show. There are a total of eighteen main characters on SpongeBob Squarepants and the Flying Dutchman is one of them. What makes him so funny is the way he is always looking to throw someone from Bikini Bottom into Davy Jones locker. Davy Jones locker is filled with a bunch of sweaty smelly socks because supposedly all Davy Jones does with his time is workout. The Flying Dutchman is a ghost and he is derived from the real famous ghost ship from the pirate tales. The Dutchman lives in an oversized pirate ghost ship that floats in the underwater sky of Bikini Bottom. One of his hobbies is tying knots. In fact he won a few knot tying contest in the past for best Fancy Knotting. He knows how to tie a handful of fancy tied knots like Pretzel Knot, Double Diamond Knot, Square Knot, The Monkey, Gut Knot, Pillow Knot, Loop Knot, Monkey Chain, Monkey's Fist, The Constrictor and the Butterfly Knot. His appearance is simple, all green with a bright green outer glow, a ghostly tail, yellow eyes, and a typical pirate hat and beard. His voice is scratchy and you can clearly tell he has a Scottish accent. He is one of my favorite characters besides SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward. I know you guys will have fun learning how to draw the Flying Dutchman from SpongeBob Squarepants step by step. All the steps are laid out in simple to follow way to make learning how to draw SpongeBob Squarepants characters easy and fun.
