How to Draw Scarecrow, Dorothy of Oz
1
You have to draw a circle for the head, and then draw the body guides like so. Don't forget to draw in the facial guidelines before leaving this step.
2
Here you will draw the spoon shaped face and then the lid line for the hat needs to be sketched in.
3
The next thing you need to do is draw in the two eyes, color in the eyeballs, and then draw in the triangular shaped nose. As you can see Scarecrow's face is coming along nicely. To end this step all you have to do is draw out the great big smile.

Here you will finish drawing out Scarecrow's oversized straw hat. Of course it's not your typical wheat colored hat, but it's all the same with the design style.
5
Now that Scarecrow's head, face, and hat is all taken care of, we can get started with the rest of him. Start by sketching out the skinny shape of his neck, and then draw the shoulders, sleeve outlines, and then draw the collar as well as some lining

Description: Well hello again everyone and welcome back to another fun tutorial that will have you falling off your chair. Today I wanted to get a majority of the characters drawn from the new movie that is coming your way in 2012 called ‘Dorothy of Oz’. Up next we will be tackling the task of learning "how to draw Scarecrow", step by step. For those of you that are familiar with the original tale ‘The Wizard of Oz’, you should already know that Scarecrow is one of the three companions that travel along with Dorothy as they make their way to Emerald City in search of the great Wizard. Normally Scarecrow is a character that is very playful, spontaneous, courageous, and even a bit funny. Once Scarecrow is given his degree he goes from having no brain, to having the smarts like a college professor. As you can see, this newer version of Scarecrow is a bit more put together, official, and it also seems that Scarecrow doesn’t have to worry about being pinned up on a pole all day to scare away the crows. He was fun to draw and if you are a fan of the Wizard of Oz series, you should enjoy drawing Scarecrow too. I will be back folks because there is still more drawing fun for me to upload. Adios amigos!
