How to Draw Saya Takagi, Highschool of the Dead

Step 1.


Make a circle for her head, and then draw out the lower shape of her face, and then draw out the torso. Add the lining for her arms, and torso and then move to step two.

Step 2.


The first thing you will do is draw in her eyeglasses the way you see them here. When that is all done you can proceed on to the next step.

Step 3.


Begin drawing out her bangs which are a whole piece and fluffed to the right. Draw in the side pieces of her hair that hang just over the arms of her glasses, and then sketch out the facial structure.

Step 4.


Now, using precise curves and thick line quality for her eyes, we'll start to shape the face more. Keep in mind Takagi's eyes are almost triangularly-squared shaped.

Step 5.


Sketch out the rest of her hair starting with the top of her head, and then draw out her long skinny style ponytails. Add some detailing and definition to the hair and then move to step five where you will be closer than ever to finishing this drawin   

Step 6.


Now we will start working on her torso or clothing. Begin by drawing out her collar, and then her arms and sleeves. You will then sketch out some of the creases and wrinkles that adds detail and definition. Make the collar line under her shirt, and t   

Step 7.


All that has to be done here is draw out her bow-tie that actually hangs from her top instead of being attached to it.

Step 8.


Draw in her long shaped breasts like you see here, and then sketch out the shape of her body which is like an hourglass. When that is done add the stitch lining on the front of her blouse, and then move to step eight.

Step 9.


Draw in the last hair end piece like so, and then draw out her pleated skirt. Add a zipper or seam line at the bottom of her blouse and then begin erasing all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 10.


Here is what your character looks like when you are all done. Now you can color her in so she looks as good as the other students from Highschool of the Dead.

Description: I was meaning to upload this other Highschool of the Dead character yesterday but I got side tracked with a drawing I was doing last night. Anyways, this lesson is on "how to draw Saya Takagi", step by step, and she is the daughter of a politician. Her glasses convey just how smart she is and even though she has that bad girl look, she is in fact a very intelligent girl. At first glance you think that Saya is the antagonist because of her facial expression. But the fact is, the only ‘bad guys’ is all the vampires and creatures that the group has to go against. Saya’s intelligence helps the group escape from sticky situations and into temporary safety. She has long pink colored hair that she wears in a set of ponytails, a pair of white framed glasses, and a school girl suit that is green and white in color. I had fun drawing her out because she sort of reminds me of my fifteen year old sister who almost always has that very same expression on her face. I will be back later with more fun stuff to draw.
