How to Draw Saul Alvarez, El Canelo
1
Draw the oval shapes & line lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw it as seen in the picture.

You can draw in the lines a. for eyebrows, b. for eyes, c. for nose, d. for mouth, and e. for shoulders.
6
Observe where Saul's features appear in relation to the guidelines. Draw in his nose, shadow line, mouth, and smiling lines.

Look closely at how the lines of his hair and strokes flow downward within the guidelines. Draw those lovely curls and waves. I will have some TIPS on how to get that shine in hair. Remember, patience is your best friend because with it, you'll be ab

This is the first start. This is where you would sketch in small circles or lines to shade the areas. It would take hours upon hours to cover all that area with a pencil. I chose to shade with pastels. In a few strokes I've got area coverage. Applied

I used my 9B pencil for the shaded areas on his face, filled in his hair more, darkened the shadows on his boxer gloves and chest. I took my kneaded eraser and lightened the laces on the glove and highlighted areas on his face.

Drawing like this is a gradual buildup. I keep sketching, blending and sketching some more. This time, I first blended the pencil sketches with my toritllon to give a smooth transition. I added more dark tones and details to his hair, face, and chest
