How to Draw Hit Girl from Kick Ass, Chloe Moretz
1
Draw the two oval shapes and line lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw it as seen in the picture.
3
Sketch lightly the crescent red lines for hair line and head mass. Also draw in the two rectangular shapes for the gun.
4
You can draw in the lines a. for lower part of the eyes, b. for bottom of nose, c. for mouth, and d. for shoulder placements.
5
Look really close to how her bangs & top of mask appear near the guidelines. Now draw in Chloe's bangs, top of mask line, eyes, and bottom portion of mask.
8
Now look closely at how the lines of her hair flow with the guidelines. Take your time. Patience is your best friend because with it, you'll be able to complete your drawing.

I'm leaving the best for last. Now draw in her hand grasping the pistol. Take you time. If you want more information on drawing hands, check out my tutorial at this link (copy and paste in your browser address field): http://www.dragoart.com/tuts/901

I made this line drawing especially for you if you don't want to do the pencil shading and blending part. Otherwise, let us continue to the pencil drawing part.

Here is the outline done with a 0.7mm mechanical pencil. Look closely and see if your lines look something like this. You can erase if certain areas like the eyes or nose don't line up. Take you kneaded eraser and dab off the shadow outlines or dark

Here is how the tools look. I used the 0.7mm 2B mechanical pencil, 9B pencil, tissue, and the blending stump.
15

This is the first start. This is where you would sketch in small circles or lines to shade the areas. It would take hours upon hours to cover all that area with a pencil. I chose to shade with pastels. In a few strokes I've got area coverage. Applied
17
What's interesting is I haven't used a pencil yet during this stage. I took a blending stump, a small tortillon (since it won't leave lines and will cover detailed areas) and shaded laying the stump tapered part flat (like a pencil). Then I took it's

I sketched in darker with my 0.7mm mechanical and 9B pencil her eyes, mouth, mask shadow. I placed my 9B pencil flat and barely touching the paper went over the darker side of her face. Between the shadowed hair strands (of the light hair strip area)

Drawing like this is a gradual buildup. I keep sketching, blending and sketching some more. This time, I first blended the pencil sketches with my toritillon to give a smooth transition. I added more dark tones and details to her hair, face, costume,
