Step 1.

You will start the first step by drawing an oval or egg shape for the head, and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw a connecting line which is the snakes body, and notice how the line turns into a lasso.

Step 2.

You will now start sketching out the shape of Jake's head, and notice how it is blocky just the way a real rattlesnake's head would look like. When that is done you can begin drawing out the shape of the neck like so and be sure to make it thick inst

Step 3.

Before you start working on Rattlesnake Jake's face, you will need to first draw more of his coiling body out like you see here. This can be done in a two layer display. Once that is done draw a middle line that flows with the contour of the neck, an

Step 4.

You will now work to finish drawing Rattlesnake Jake by making the rest of his long coiled body, and then his rattler. Lightly draw the scales like you see here, and the underlining scales on the neck like so. When that is done draw the mouth and gum

Step 5.

When you are all done Rattlesnake Jake should look like the drawing you see before you. Now you can have even more fun coloring him in until he looks as nasty as he is. Great work guys and don't forget to look for the movie in 2011.

Description: Another character from the 2011 movie “Rango” is going on the books since I found out who the villain is going to be. This lesson will show you "how to draw Rattlesnake Jake", step by step. He is a slithering, sly snake that has all the right moves as far as being nasty. The information I gathered about Jake is pretty limited since there isn’t no bio information at all on him as of yet. All I know is that his voice actor is going to be Bill Nighy who is best known for his role as Viktor in the epic vampire werewolf movie “Underworld". Having said that, this tutorial description is going to be ridiculously short, and believe or not, but just knowing I can’t write anything about him annoys me. Anyways, I like the style or character creation that the developers did on Rattlesnake Jake because he really does look like a venomous villain that doesn’t toy around. He is wearing your typical cowboy hat, and his face just reeks of pure badness. I like the way he came out, and if you are a snake lover you should love learning "how to draw Rattlesnake Jake" as well. If he wasn’t a CGI character creation, Jake would make one awesome tattoo design. I guess that’s all I can say for now. When more information is released about Jake I will be the first one to talk about him on the site. In the mean time have fun drawing Rango characters Jake, and be sure to come back for more drawing fun.
