How to Draw Beans

Step 1.

Lets start drawing this pretty girl shall we? Begin by making an egg shape for the head and then draw out the guidelines for the face and neck like so.

Step 2.

Using the shape you drew in step one for her head frame, you will need to sketch out the actual outlined shape of her head. When tackling this step, just keep the image of a iguana in your mind because that should help you draw out the odd looking sh

Step 3.

Now that the outline of her head is all sketched out you can start drawing in her eyes which should be big, pouting, and sort of lazy looking. The lid lining should be thicker then the shape of the eye, and the lashes should be drawn in thick.

Step 4.

Here you will lightly sketch out the creases or wrinkles on her eyes like so. This is done because she is an iguana and iguana's have tough but very detailed skin. When the wrinkles or creases are drawn in, you can then draw the eyeballs and color th

Step 5.

Okay, now Beans will begin looking pretty because here all you have to do is color in two slanted holes for her nostrils or nose, and then draw out her pretty, full looking lips or mouth. When that is done you can move to step six.

Step 6.

Now sketch out her nicely shaped neck which is also very much like an iguana, and then begin drawing out the ruffle around the neck as well for her western style collar.

Step 7.

Finish drawing out her dress collar, and then add the necessary definition lines to make the clothing look authentic. Next, draw in the shoulders, and then move to step eight.

Step 8.

Now the fun starts because you will now sketch out her hair which is very plain, and simple. The bottom of her hair is curled so you have to make the ends wavy looking. Be sure to also sketch in some hair pieces that are sticking up a little as well.

Step 9.

Here you will add all the detailing to her very old fashioned hairstyle. Back in the days of the westerner, woman used to wear their hair in rolled or separately curled strands of hair. This is a real vintage look for Beans. When you are done detaili

Step 10.

The last step is simple, sketch in the ruffled line work for her dress sleeves, and then begin erasing all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

Step 11.

Now that you are all done you should have ended up with a character that looks just like the one you see here. Color her in and Beans is ready to be placed with Rango. I hope you had fun guys with this lesson on how to draw Beans.

Description: As some of you may know there is a new movie that is coming out March 4th of this year called 'Rango'. It stars Johnny Depp as the main character Rango, who is a common chameleon. Other stars like Timothy Olyphant, Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher, and Bill Nighy are also cast in the flick giving their voice talents to each of their characters. I have the lesson on Rango and Rattlesnake Jake, which are two of the main figures in the flick. Today I will be showing you "how to draw Beans", step by step and she is a desert iguana that Rango gets the hots for. You see, Rango used to live in a terrarium, but finds himself lost in the Old West in a place called ‘Dirt”. Sooner or later he takes on the role of a law figure, and parades around the streets as one. Beans is a character that I don’t know too much about because there really isn’t anything I can go by to tell you what type of gal she is, or how she feels about Rango. I can tell you that she is voiced by Isla Fisher, and her character design is pretty cool looking. The previews for the movie are already airing on T.V., and to tell you the truth it looks pretty good. There is a lot of computer generated films that have come across my eyes, but none of them really caught my attention. I think Rango will do well in theaters, and if I’m right you will have an awesome time learning how to draw the characters from Rango as I periodically submit them. In the meantime have fun teaching yourself "how to draw Beans", I’m sure you will find a use for her. Adios people and enjoy!
