How to Draw Paul Stanley, Paul Stanley, KISS
To draw Paul Stanley, the first thing we should do is sketch out some basic guide lines. Use a 2H or hard pencil and draw very lightly so that the lines are easy to erase after we ink. Sketch out a stick figure shape such as this one, and be sure to
Before we get going on details, we should first sketch the basic form of the human figure. Doing this will help ensure that the figure is proportionate when we apply clothing later on. You don't have to draw details such as facial feature or fingers,
Let's begin drawing the face. Use your facial construction lines as a guide. Draw the eyes, nose, and mouth. Draw the contours of the face and jaw. Stanley has a very strong jaw so keep that in mind when drawing the face.
Stanley's black hair is long and silky. Some of the bangs should fall in front of the face a little bit and a few strands should be blowing in the wind. The hair should rest gently on his shoulders.
No KISS member is complete without their stage makeup. Paul Stanley paints his face white and paints a large black 5 sided star over his right eyes. He also wears bright red lipstick on his lips.
For his outfit, draw a leather vest on his torso. It should be bound in the middle by a strings, but the rest of the vest should be open with part of it partially tucked in his side. Draw rivets up the middle of the vest and strips of trim along the
Draw a couple of silver necklaces over his chest, one of which can feature a large star. Draw his neck muscles and clavicles.
To make the outfit more interesting, draw large clumps of fake hair resting on his shoulders. The hair should start from beneath the edge of the vest and protrude outwards. If you don't want to draw hair, you can draw feathers instead. Just make it i
Draw his right arm hanging down in front as he plays the guitar. The fingers should be grasping a guitar pick. Draw a wrist cuff on his wrist. Don’t forget to draw his fingernails.
Now draw the left arm bent upwards. From our perspective, we cannot see the forearm as his hand is blocking it. Draw the fingers curled as he presses on the guitar strings, which we will draw shortly.
The electric guitar can be a tad tricky. First, start by drawing the shape of the neck and the head. The bottom of the neck should continue beyond the right hand as a guide.
Next, start to draw the body of the guitar. Use the base of the neck of the guitar as a guide for where to begin the body and make sure that they line up with each other. The body of the guitar should be in a V shape. Make sure to draw the bottom edg
Add more detail to the guitar such as a the knobs and keys. Draw the 6 strings and frets up the neck. Draw a large strap adorned with metal rivets holding the guitar as it hangs from his shoulder.
Draw his legs spread wide apart. They can be wearing black spandex or tight black pants. Draw a short chain hanging from his waist to make the image more unique.
Now that we are done penciling the image, we can ink it using a Micron marker or a brush and India ink. Carefully go over each line with patience and be sure not to accidentally ink any unneeded guide lines. Use a ruler to help you with the guitar. W
You can add more depth to the image by giving it shadow and filling in the many areas of the black outfit. Black out the hair, shoulder fur, vest, guitar strap, and pants.
