How to Draw Onix

Step 1.


Start with a circle, and then a long hook shaped line for the body. Add one facial guideline down the middle of the head like so.

Step 2.


You will now begin sketching out the shape of Onix's head structure. This should look uneven and rocky. Draw a horn at the top of the head, and proceed on.

Step 3.


You might want to tale your time with this third step because you have to draw each individual shape that makes up the snake like rock body. Start with the face by drawing a few lines that will make the face look strong, and like a rock. Add the eyes   

Step 4.


For your last drawing step, add some dots for the eyes, and coloring in the mouth. Finish drawing out the body like so, and then add the detailing texture lines that will make Onix's body looks like a string of rocks. Erase the one line, and shape yo   

Step 5.


Here is how your Pokemon character should look when you are done. All you need to do now is color it in. I do hope you enjoyed this lesson that just showed you all how to draw Onix.

Description: This lesson has been sitting in my drawing folder for the past three days now, and I think it's because I have developed an aversion to writing out a description for Pokemon characters from drawing them so much. Today I will start the day by submitting this tutorial on “how to draw Onix”, step by step. Onix is a rock snake species of Pokemon, from the rock type genre. If you're familiar with this Pokemon, you already know that it's appearance looks more like a bunch of misshapen rocks that are all chained up or bunched together. This is due to the fact that when Onix is young, the body's texture is rough around the edges. As it ages, the shape of it's body becomes more rounded and smooth. When Onix gets to be at it's full grown stage, you will end up with a species that is nearly twenty nine feet long. A lot of Pokemon species have a mainly dominate male gender. With Onix, males and females are equal. This means that your chances of getting a male is about the same as getting a female. As for their special abilities, let's just say that they are practically neighbors with groundhogs, and moles. This is because they dig holes underground at nearly fifty miles an hour. Another cool thing that Onix can do is regrow it's body if it where to shatter or fall apart from a powerful blow. No matter what kind of damage this creature sustains, one thing is certain, it's definitely a Pokemon I want under my belt.
