How to Draw Marlin From Finding Dory

1

Make the head or face guide shape like so, then draw in Marlin's tail outline. Sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

2

Using the guides you just made in step one, begin drawing Marlin's body in a much more defined manner. Add that wave to the end of the tail, and leave an opening for where the fin will go.

3

The ends of Marlin's fins are very wavy. Draw all the fins; the dorsal, pectoral and smaller fins near the pectoral fins.

4

Color in the ends of all the fins, then draw in the lines for the ribs on each fin.

5

Just like with Nemo, you will draw in the stripes that down down the body shape.

6

Add the shapes of Marlin's eyes, then draw in his smile.

7

Color in the pupils, draw the raised brow, then add some teeth inside his mouth along with some shading and crease lines under the eyes. Erase your mistakes and guides to be done.

8

Marlin is all done. Keep those same shades you colored in Nemo with to color Marlin in. Great job folks.

Description: For those of you who remember some of the main characters from Finding Nemo, you should remember Nemo's father Marlin. Up next we will learn "how to draw Marlin from Finding Dory", step by step. Marlin is a tough, down to earth fish that likes things his way especially when it comes to his son and friends. Marlin will work just as hard finding Dory as he did when he was out looking for his son Nemo. I don't think I ever made a tut on Marlin before so this is a first. Enjoy yourselves and have fun. Peace out people.
