How to Draw Lilies
1
Drawing lilies will make you want to dance and scream. Start by sketching out two circle shapes, and then add the guidelines for the pedals. Once that is done draw the guidelines for the stems, and leaves.
2
You will now start sketching out the lily pedal shapes as you see here. Notice how they have smoothed out rough edges, this is because the lily is incredibly detailed. Once the pedals are sketched out you can then add the hairs in the middle.
3
Continue to sketch out the flower pedals, and then when that is done, you can add some detailing and definition. Next sketch out the rest of the hairs or "stamen". As you can see your lily starts looking like it should in this step.
4
This is your last drawing step, and all you have to do is draw out some more of the lily pedals, and then sketch out the flower stem, and leaves. Add some minor definition and detail, and then start erasing all the guidelines and steps that you drew

Description: Flowers, flowers, and more flowers. This tutorial will end the series of plants that I will submit today. I tried drawing the most beautiful blooms of the world, and because of that, I want to teach all you avid artists out there, “how to draw lilies”, step by step. Now, out of the two flowers that I submitted, the lily is probably the more interesting. In the rankings, the lily stands in fourth place at being one of the most popular in the top ten. Did you know the the UK favors lilies over roses? It's true, people of the United Kingdom, consider lilies, THE most popular out of all blooming plants. Like the tulip, these flowers also come in all sorts of colors, shapes, and sizes. The cool thing about lilies is that with every color, comes a different meaning, just like the rose. Commonly, this plant symbolizes purity, and refined beauty. The quick rundown on the different meanings for each shade of lily, will be an interesting concept to learn. For instance, the white colored lily stands for virginity, and modesty. Orange colored lilies symbolize passion, and the yellow ones stand for festivity. There are also plants called, “lilies of the valley” which represents purity of the heart, and finally the very popular Easter lily. This flower can only symbolize one thing, the Virgin Mary. I hope that I gave you some interesting information on the this flower. It's now time that I shut up, and let you try out this tutorial so you can learn “how to draw lilies”. I will be back again because I still have two more lessons on the way. Peace out and happy drawing!
