How To Draw Jim Brown, Jim Brown
1
To draw Jim Brown, we should first sketch in some basic construction lines. Use a 2H or harder pencil and sketch very lightly so that the lines are easy to erase later on after we ink. Sketch the basic shape of the head, upper torso, and large should
2
Let's begin working on the eyes first. Be sure that they rest evenly on the horizontal eye line of the face. Eyes are roughly one eye width apart from one another. They should be slightly squinted, so be sure to clearly draw the creases of the upper
3
Make sure that his nose is perfectly aligned with the center vertical construction line of the face. Normally, the nose would rest about half way between the eyes and the chine. But because he's looking upwards slightly, the nose should rest a little
4
He should has a slight smile on his face, with his lips parted so we can just see some of his teeth. His upper and lower lips are about the same thickness as each other. Be sure to draw the indentation above the upper lip, as well as the long, curved

Now draw the outer contours of his head. He has a very wide jaw and very rounded cranium. Also draw the chin well below the mouth. We will draw his hair in a later step.
6
Draw his ears on either side of his head. They should rest fairly low at this angle. The tops of the ears should alight with the middle of the nose, and the bottoms should align with the lower lip. Draw numerous curved creases inside the ears.

Now we can draw the head hair, which should be very short, especially on the sides of his head. It should gradually get a bit longer as it reaches the top of his head, but just barely. It should be thick and coarse. There's no need to draw individual

9
Draw the shoulders and torso portion of his football jersey. The shoulder should be massive since he is wearing padding underneath. Be sure to draw many vertical creases and folds in the fabric, many of which should bunch together beneath the left sh
10
Next, draw the sleeves of the jersey which are baggy and can fall off of the page. Remember to draw creases in the fabric, especially under the armpit of the left arm.
11
As a final step to the pencils, draw his number on the chest and shoulders of the jersey. He is number 32. It should be drawn in block numbers. Also draw curved lines on the upper sleeves.
12
We can now move on to inking the image. Use either Micron markers or a brush and India ink. Be patient and be careful not to accidentally ink any unneeded construction lines. A brush works great when inking long creases in fabrics, but Microns work g

You can add a greater sense of depth by giving the image shadow. Use either your brush and ink, or a fat felt tipped marker and first fill in his hair and eyelashes with total black. Then shade the area beneath his chin as well as alongside some of t
