How to Draw Jared Leto, Jared Leto

Step 1.


Start by sketching out an oval like shape for Jared's face, and then add in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Next, begin sketching out the shapes of his eyes, and then be sure to add thickness or bolder lining on the top lids. Sketch out the nose, and move to step three.

Step 3.


Now begin sketching out the lids and then draw in the eyeballs, pupils, and bottom eyelashes. Once that is done you can sketch in the puffy lines under his eyes.

Step 4.


Now it's time to start sketching out Jared's semi thick eyebrows. Be sure to use a side stroke because his eyebrows flow to the right side. Draw some of the nose bridge, and then color in the eye like you see here.

Step 5.


Now sketch out the mouth and as you can see he has a very friendly smile.

Step 6.


Almost done guys, sketch in his straight hair making sure to cover some of his left eye, and be sure to also draw pointed chunk strips for his hair as well. Sketch out the shape of his face, and then draw out the neck.

Step 7.


Finish sketching out his hair and add some texture detailing to it as well. When that is done you can draw out the shoulders and move to the last step.

Step 8.


Once you clean up the drawing by erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one, you can add some color if you like. Or you can choose to leave Jared as a sketched image.

Description: In the beginning this famous face was recognized from TV shows and films that my mother remembers and watched. Shows like 'My So Called Life' is just one of the works that he did before he made it big time. You've seen the thumbnail on my Facebook, now it's time to learn "how to draw Jred Leto", step by step. In the early years of Leto's time in Hollywood, he began his early works with another newcomer named Clair Danes in the CBS series, My So Called Life. It aired for only a year but the series made a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of fans, and opened doors for both Jared and Clair. After his time with the ABC series he began getting steady work and appeared in his first film along side big stars like Winona Ryder, Ellen Burstyn, and Anne Bancroft in the 1995 flick 'How to Make an American Quilt'. From there more and more doors opened for the charming, and good looking Leto. One of my favorite films of all time actually has Jared in it, and that's American Psycho with now big time star Christian Bale. He played the role of Paul Allen, a character that Patrick Bateman was jelous of because all of his colleges admired Allen for his success and popularity. Anyways Jared Leto played roles of villains, bad boys, and even a slacker. Another film that he was in is Panic Room with co-stars Jodi Foster and Kristen Stewart. Another role that Leto gained recognition for is Chapter 27, the story behind the man that shot John Lennon. He had to gain over thirty pounds to play the role of Mark David Chapman, and with the film came a whole new image of the once slim and sexy Leto. No worries though because once he finished the flick, he made sure to loose the pounds he packed on. Nowadays Jared Leto is known and popular for being the lead singer of the band “30 Seconds to Mars” which was initially formed by Jared Leto and his brother Shannon Leto in 1998. They are a thriving band that has made a big name for themselves, and so far they have three albums released to date; 30 Seconds to Mars, A Beautiful Lie, and This is War. Of course there is more music from the popular multi-genre band, but for now lets know what we know and get busy drawing Jared Leto. I hope you like this tutorial, I had a lot of fun drawing and painting him out. Thanks guys for joining me with another exciting lesson.
