How to Draw Eggs from The Boxtrolls

Make the guide shape of the head. Then draw in the shoulders. Add the facial guidelines then you are ready for step two.

Next, use the guides to sketch out the shape of Eggs' face. Then incorporate his ear and some of the hair line.

Draw in three chunk style bangs, then some detailing at the base of the hair.

We will work on Fish' face. Start by drawing out the eyebrows, then draw in the wide shapes of his eyes. Add some lids, then draw the nose, mouth (which is in an open friendly smile), teeth, chin arch and detailing inside the ear.

All you have to do here is draw out the left ear. When that is done add some definition inside the ear.

Finish drawing his semi-long hairstyle which is in separated chunk spikes. Add detailing inside the spikes but not all of them.

We will work on the body but before we do that we need to draw in the sweater collar. Add the indent stripes and you are ready to move along to step eight.

Eggs wears a box over his body so you will need to draw the shape of the body which is in the shape of a box. Add detailing all around, then prepare for step nine.

Make a circle hole for the arm opening like so, then draw in Eggs' skinny arm.

Here all you have to do is make a circle on the front of the box body, then draw in Eggs' hand. Add detailing to the hand, then draw in some of the left arm.

For the last step you will only have to draw the detailing to the box and wrinkles on the side of the box. Erase your mistakes and you are done.

Here is the line art when you are finished. Now all you need to do is add some color to Eggs from The Boxtrolls.

Description: So this is the main character from The Boxtrolls and as I said with Fish's tutorial he is the orphan boy who is raised by underground people known as Boxtrolls. These Boxtrolls are made of garbage, and the character you see here is named Eggs. Here is "how to draw Eggs", step by step. I think you will enjoy this tut. He is a cute kid with unconventional looks. Eggs' main goal is to save his family of Boxtrolls before the garbage collector terminates them all. Have fun and stay tuned in for more tuts on the way.
