How to Draw Christmas Jake

Artist: Dawn / December 22, 2013

Step 1.

Start off by making an oblong square shape like so. Sketch in the facial guidelines too.

Step 2.

Draw out Jake's snout and color in his nose.

Step 3.

Next, draw out two circles for Jake's eyes like so, then draw the bottom line for the mouth. Make sure to darken the area under each eye.

Step 4.

Next, give Jake a Christmas hat by drawing him wearing a Santa hat. This should be pretty simple since I'm sure you have drawn many of these hats before.

Step 5.

We will close off Jake's body by drawing the shape of the upper part of his head. Draw in the ear, then draw the perfectly straight lined scarf.

Step 6.

Add the vertical lines to the scarf like so, then move along to step seven.

Step 7.

Draw the rest of Jake's body by making the sweater and sleeves or arms. The sleeves have cuffs at the ends so be sure to add those in as well.

Step 8.

Draw the noodle like legs and feet, then draw Jake's hands.

Step 9.

Lastly, draw in some festive spots on the sweater, or you can draw a pine tree design or even a snowman. Erase whatever mistakes you made.

Step 10.

And here is Jake the Dog all decked out in Christmas attire. I hope you had fun, now just color him in.
