So the first thing you will do is draw the actual guide shape for Alicia's face. When that is done sketch in the facial guidelines.

Next, begin sketching out the structure of her face like so, then draw in her hairline which will sort of frame her face.

Using the facial guidelines, sketch out the shapes of her eyes in a nice dark, bold manner. The eyebrows are next, then sketch in the creases over each eye, then draw the nose, mouth and cheek line.

Draw the bottom lid line as well as the lashes. Sketch in the left nostril then draw in her lips. This will add her features.

Alicia Keys has many hairstyles. For this lesson I drew her sporting a long straight du. Sketch out the rest of her head shape, then sketch in the long wavy locks. I say wavy because her hair is being blown by wind. Add detailing then proceed to step

For the last drawing step sketch out the shape of her neck and collarbone, then you will sketch in the remainder of her hair followed by the hoop style earrings. Erase the mistakes you may have made, then you are done.

Here she is all drawn out and ready to color in. You can add some color or leave this drawing as a sketch.

Description: Here is a pop artist that I can't believe I never made a lesson for. Today I will be showing you "how to draw Alicia Keys", step by step. She is best known for her hip hop/pop sounds fused with a strong piano lead. Her real name is Alicia cook and she was born in Manhattan near the Hell’s Kitchen area. Alicia started to play the piano when she was seven years old and soon after she learned to play classical music from Beethoven, Mozart and even Chopin. Her mother sent her to both music and dance schools and by the time Ms. Keys was twelve, she was enrolled to Professional Performing Arts school. BY the time she was sixteen she had graduated with valedictorian status. Her real start to fame was in 1994 when she was signed to Columbia Records. From there, the rest is history. Her new hit nowadays is ‘Girl on Fire’ and she will continue to remain in the spotlight because gifted performers usually do.
