How to Draw a Tooth

Step 1.


The first thing you want to do is draw a circle shape. This is going to be the top of the molar or your tooth. Next draw three spiked shapes as you see here.

Step 2.


Now you will start sketching out the actual shape of the molar. The top of a tooth has nooks and crannies, almost like a canyon. Once this is drawn in, you can then add some detailing to make the tooth look rounded and defined.

Step 3.


Before you finish your last drawing step, I think it will be helpful to know that a molar has three parts to it, the crown, which is the top, the neck, which is the mid-section, and the root, which is the claw looking branches you are going to draw n   

Step 4.

Description: Today my brother went to the dentist to get a one of his many teeth pulled. When he got home he showed me the damage and he said that the dentist was a bit hard on him. So, in light of the fact that my bro suffered a bit of pain, I figured I would do a tutorial that shows you "how to draw a tooth", step by step. I'm going to talk a little about teeth we as humans have in our mouths. I did do a lesson on how to draw teeth, and in it I talked about our teeth and gums. As you know the human in it's lifetime will go through two sets of teeth, a set of baby, and then the permanent adult set. Children have less teeth in their mouths then adults do, and this is mainly because the mouths of children are a lot smaller then grown-ups. But what are teeth made of? Good question. Many believe that a tooth is just another bone. The fact is, our mouths are filled with hard white objects that is primarily made up of calcium, phosphorus, and some other minerals. Your tooth is actually called dentine, and what you brush is enamel. When enamel weakens, you form cavities. If a cavitiy is not taken care of, you will eventually form a hole in your tooth whether it's a molar or an incisor. This means you have to brush your teeth at least twice a day, and get a flossing in there as well at least once a day. It's better to floss before you brush after a meal to loosen particles so the toothbrush can clean your teeth more thoroughly. Anyway, I think that does it for this lesson.
