Step 1. Guidelines

Let's first sketch the guidelines for the head shape.

Then, draw the wolf face shape and then the facial features.

Then, sketch the headband that crowns the top oft he wolf's head.

Next, let's work on the headdress for the wolf chief.

Now, working from the middle feather and fanning outwards to each of the sides, work on the feathers, one by one. Don't forget the ears too!

Lastly, go ahead and lightly sketch the detailing for the feathers.

Once everything is drawn, you should end up with something similar to this. Great work!

As you can see I did something a little different. I used the Chief concept and gave this wolf spirit a beautiful headdress that has traditional Native colors. I love how this spirit wolf came out and the best part is, it won't be that complicated to complete.
