Big Bad Wolf Drawing

Step 1.


Since we are drawing a profile, you really don't need guides. Instead we will start by drawing the forehead of the wolf which is a bit long and narrow and then the long snout. Once that is done you can incorporate the open mouth and chin.

Step 2.


You can draw in the long shaped eye and then draw the cheek bump that rests just under it. This is due to the fact that he is giving us a sly grin. Draw the lining to create the nose and some empty circles for the whisker holes.

Step 3.


Next, fill in that mouth gap with a nice set of full pearly white. The only sharpness you can see is the pointed tips from various parts of the wolf's teeth. Add some shading and a gum line too.

Step 4.


Now is time to draw the hairy back part of the cheek and then draw a piece of the fur between the bigger chunk you just drew.

Step 5.


You can now work on drawing the pointed ear which is tilted just a bit towards the front. Add some minor detailing inside the ear too. When the ear is all set, you can draw the cigar style cigarette which is being bitten down on between the teeth.

Step 6.


It's time to draw the fedora which is the style hat this sly wolf is wearing. On the other side of the hat is a tip from his other ear.

Step 7.


Lastly, draw in the wolf's thick fluffy body. Start with behind the head which is also the back of the neck and then draw the chest and shoulder. Sketch in the fluff all over the body as well. Erase whatever mistakes you made to clean up the drawing.

Step 8.


That's it. You are ready to color in your wolf. Have fun doing so and remember to give your sly wolf an awesome background and don't forget to upload your art to the Hub.

Description: Okay. Here is a character design that I had a lot of fun with. I was feeling a little dark and mischievous, but I was in the mood to draw a wolf of sorts. So here is my interpretation on drawing Big Bad Wolf, step by step. This profile of the wolf is wearing an old fashioned hat that you would see on gangsters like Al Capone and others during the alcohol prohibition. He is also smoking one of those cigarette cigars and has a devious look on his face. Even though the coloring of this drawing makes the lesson look complicated, it really isn't. All you have to do is follow the steps and take it slow. I will ready some more drawing tutorials, but in the meantime I hope you have fun drawing a sly wolf. Adios amigos!
