How to Draw a Simple Frog

Step 1.

Are you ready to draw a simple frog or what? Well what are you waiting for, draw the first two circle shapes, one for the head and one for the body. You will then add the facial guidelines, and draw the outlined shapes of the hind legs and feet.

Step 2.

Draw out the shape of the frog's face and be sure to draw the bump like brows that sit above the eyes. Once that is done, sketch out the eye shapes and then move to the next step.

Step 3.

Before you start drawing anything else you will need to draw out and color in the eyes and or pupils. After that is done you can draw the nostril holes, and then sketch in some detailing for the bridge of the frogs nose. Next, draw the mouth line and

Step 4.

You are almost done drawing your simple frog. Sketch out the shape of the frog's hind legs and then draw the webbed feet such as the toes. Next draw the starting lines for the frog's right arm.

Step 5.

Now that this is your last drawing step. You can finish off the last task...sketch out the frogs front hands or feet and make sure they are webbed looking. Add some detailing to the foot and then star teasing all the guidelines and shapes that you dr

Step 6.

Now that you have finished this lesson on "how to draw a simple frog, step by step" you probably want to get busy and start coloring it in. Well, that's fine by me, be my guess.

Description: I have another animal drawing for the books, and yes I promise this will be the last one for a few days. Like I said in previous tutorials, I am really trying to fill a lot of old requests that I never got around to. Mind you, I have a list that goes back to four months ago, which means I am filling requests that was made back in September of 2009. Well, better late than never I always say. I want you guys to know that I don't forget about the stuff that you ask me to draw, I just have to jot it down, and get to them when I can. I have been doing so much work for the site lately that sometimes I miss one of my live sessions. So, if you ever wonder what is going on with Dawn, you will know why I'm not drawing live, or even answering comments left on my tutorials. There is responses that I have made on comments dating back four months ago, it's totally crazy. That's enough about that, let me move onto this next lesson on "how to draw a simple frog, step by step”. How many of us love drawing frogs? These amphibians are used in fairytales, mythology, and even some stories. Over time I have drawn a few different types of frogs and almost all of them came out looking pretty decent. I don't claim to be the best artist in the world because I know I do have some major flaws, but I also know that since the sites start, my drawing skills have improved one hundred ten percent. That goes to show you, practice and persistence really does make perfect, well almost. This lesson will fall in the novice artist title because when you want to draw a frog for the first time, your looking to draw a simple frog as easy as possible. Learning how to sketch is something that is fun too. The best way to start teaching yourself that skill is to practice light pencil strokes with your drawing tool of choice. Unless your a painter than you would be learning how to paint instead of draw. Well that does it for me kiddies, I still have to upload like three more tutorials, and one of them will be well liked. Peace out and happy frog drawing...”ribit, ribit”.
