Step 2.
You will now draw out the actual shape of the shell, and be sure that you don't make the shape too perfect because as you know, shells are usually uneven.

Step 3.
Draw the end of the clams shape, and then add the detailing lines that are actually the grooves in the shells make-up. When this is done you can move to the next step.

Step 4.
Finally, you will add the last bit of groove lines that will not only detail the shell, it will also add texture. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 5.
When you are all done, you should have a drawing that looks just like the one you see here. Now you can be real creative and color in the rainbow on your newly drawn shell.

how to draw sea shells
Description:
This next tutorial is going to be very basic, and very easy. There are so many different things you can collect when you walk down the surface of a sandy beach. Some of the more popular things to collect are shells. No matter what types of shells people gather, there is always a story behind each one. I mean if you think about it, whatever lived inside of that shell had a life, a home, and a daily routine. Some of the prettier shells to collect are those that have the rainbow like tint to them on the smooth inside surface, and some conch shells are also very pretty too. This lesson is going to show you "

", step by step. Now I chose to draw a regular shaped clam shell, but you can choose any kind you like. Shells are so easy to draw, and they are also a very popular object to use when creating fun arts and crafts designs. I personally like to make shell necklaces, and bracelets, but thatโs just me. You could also collect shells and bring them home to color neat designs on them and use them as paper holders, knickknacks, or just a simple little window decoration. Since I know everyone has used a shell in a creative way at some point in their life, I believe you will have fun learning "
