1

Draw an egg shape for the bud, and then draw an arched line placed vertically in the middle. You will then draw the slightly curled stem.

2

Begin sketching out the actual shape of the rose bud itself like you see here. Once this step is done, you can move onto step three.

3

It's now time to start sketching out the inside flaps of the rose petals like you see here. The center should look dense, full, and closed.

4

Now is the time to draw in the pretty swirled petals in the center of the rose bud. When that is done all you have to do next, is draw out the shape and thickness of the stem.

5

All you have to do now is draw the protective leaves under the bud, and then add a few thorns. You can then start erasing all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

6

This is what your pretty rose bud looks like when you are done. I hope you had fun drawing and coloring a rosebud.

As many of you know, roses and rosebud are some of the most prettiest plants and or flowers around. The very smell of a rose, is like a soft perfume that gazing your smelling senses. Don't get me wrong, not everything smells good when scented with extracts from the rose. For instance, things like popuri, and candles smell really bad when they are made to smell like roses. Some things have a great scent when developed with oils from the very fragrant flower. Things like scratch n' sniff stickers, soaps, and other detergents smell awesome when combined with ingredients of this flower. Enough though about the flowers scent, I'm more interested in talking about the plant instead. Anyways, I chose to "draw a rosebud" because I never drew one before, and because I think that all you flower lovers will love a lesson that teaches you "how to draw a rose bud".
